The Bridge Law Calculator (the full calculator and the quick check) gives estimates only. It is not an engineering review, an engineering approval, or a legal compliance determination.

• The quick check applies federal Interstate limits only and simplified assumptions (rigid units, equal load sharing within a tandem, assumed trailer empty weight distribution).
• The quick check does not check state laws. Neither version checks permits, seasonal limits, tire ratings, structure or stability, and state rule data should be confirmed with the state.
• Results depend entirely on the numbers you enter. Always confirm actual axle weights on a certified scale.
• You are responsible for how you load, operate and permit your vehicle. Use of the calculator is at your own risk, and no warranty is given.

• Ownership. A company that submits a trailer or truck design to the Bridge Law Calculator keeps ownership of that design.
• License when published. • Company assurances. The company confirms it has the rights to submit and publish the design and that the design data is accurate to the best of its knowledge.
